The excitement is great. The second stage of the carving Cup International FIS arrives to the famous Canalone Miramonti, place of thousand Worldcup challenges. A new artificial lighting system is inaugurated: an other big show.

While the public of skier tests the new carving skis and have fun with the promotional runs on Montagnoli piste, the athletes compete on a wall made up of artificial snow. In front of a numerous public Stefano Mantegazza wins the run followed by Ganhal and Pramotton. Laura Gianera repeats the victory overcoming the teampartner Elisabetta Timoteo and the Swiss woman Annik Bonzon. Among the teams Völkl is the winner. Second placement for Salomon followed by Head. The Swiss Daniel Mahrer was also there. For last season the skier has abandoned downhill races to live the carving world. His presence gives more importance to the event.
